Scope of Work:
Support the livestock projects of QRCS in designing the proposals for projects either founded by QRC or others, preparing the budgets, following up the projects implementation., Assist in the project administration and disbursement, providing guidance for QRCS staff inside Syria and partners in implementation of livestock projects and standards based on the needs of local communities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Supporting the FSL Programme to identify needs and develop proposals
· Collecting the technical, necessary and suitable data for designing the livestock projects.
· Coordinating with the market development specialists and other technical consultants hired by the project to identify key points within the dairy value chain and develop technical capacity building packages;
· Supporting the implementation of the project activities, including the livelihoods strengthening, market development as well as ensuring sustainable use of natural resources within the dairy value chain
· Developing the livestock projects strategies, technical capacity building, interventions, activities related to increasing the production and productivity of smallholder dairy farmers;
· Helping to prepare progress reports and intermediate reports covering special topics as needed;
· Coordinate with relevant partners and institutions.
· Collaborate with QRCS staff and consultants.
· Prepare and participate in training courses and on-the-job training.
· Promote the exchange of information between the local teams and visit them as required.
· Report on progress of work, especially concerning the Livestock Teams and signal in advance problems that may hamper such progress.
· Help prepare progress reports and intermediate reports covering special topics as needed
· Perform any other duties as required by the FSL Coordinator or Head of Programs.
· liaise with the local team in the site.
Education, Experience & Training:
Qualifications: At least a B.Sc. degree in Veterinary medicine / Agriculture engineering (Animal Production or Poultry).
Good communications skills (written & verbal).
Advanced Computer skills & MS office. Working knowledge of Arabic and good command of English required
